SAN BERNARDINO – A Yucaipa man charged with the murders of three men was denied a motion to withdraw a guilty plea Friday, then sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Christopher Lanteigne, 29, of Yucaipa, went before judge Brian McCarville in a San Bernardino Superior Court to protest a plea bargain he had accepted – along with Camille Vredenburg, 27, and Christopher Weaver, 32 – as a package deal for involvement in a series of 2004 crimes resulting in the death of three men: Scott Fisher, 42, of San Bernardino; Clayton McCobb, 44, of Ramona; and Kareem Mohammad Radwan, 26, of Loma Linda.
At the sentencing hearing, McCobb’s friends and family flooded the seats in the courtroom.
Before Lanteigne and Vredenburg were sentenced, members of McCobb’s family read impact statements, many of them addressed directly to Lanteigne.
“Clayton Lance McCobb was my best friend,” said Eve McCobb, Clayton’s wife.
